Human Resources Manager

Location: Milford, CT

Supervisor: Executive Director

Executive Summary:
The HR Manager is a newly developed full-time position that will manage the human resources function (inclusive of volunteer recordkeeping) in order to maintain compliance with all aspects of employee documentation, payroll and benefits, recruitment, training and performance review. It is projected that these ongoing activities will consume about 60% of the HR Manager's time during this period of transition. Other ongoing responsibilities will encompass report compilation and maintenance of records related to BEC finance, grants administration and development activities.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, ability to problem solve, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and handle sensitive information confidentially. [ more ]


Outreach Navigator

Location: Milford, CT

Supervisor: Director of Programs and Facilities

Executive Summary:
To identify and build rapport with homeless individuals and families living on the street or in vehicles (unsheltered), Navigators will assist clients in breaking the cycle of homelessness by moving from the street to housing, accessing necessary support services, and rapidly obtaining permanent housing. Navigators will provide individualized client support throughout this entire journey by helping each client develop a plan to address their barriers, increase their income, and maintain and sustain permanent housing. As part of the plan, the Navigator will identify\ each area in which clients will need assistance to accomplish the outlined goals and objectives (i.e. scheduling appointments, applying for public benefits, identifying subsidized housing, etc.) [ more ]
