Thank you for making the 5th Annual Trick or Trot 5K a winner!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and especially the clients at the Beth-El Center, I would like to thank all who participated in the Trick or Trot 5K Run/Walk that was held on Saturday, Oct. 29 in Milford.
Funds raised will help to provide needed services as we continue to further Beth-El Center's mission to alleviate homelessness and hunger in the Milford area.
Special thanks go to the major event sponsors and organizers, the law firm of Harlow, Adams & Friedman, P.C. and Sikorsky Financial Credit Union, with particular thanks to Dana Friedman and George Adams, who have been supporting the Beth-El Center for many years with their kindness and generosity. The event committee, comprised of Atty. Danielle Bercury, Atty. Joe Kubic and representatives of Sikorsky Financial Credit Union, Gina Amodio and Carmen Tortora, did an outstanding job this year in planning and organizing the event. We deeply appreciate all of the volunteers who helped with registration, monitoring the course, and any other tasks that needed to be done — couldn't have done it without you.
Marty Schaivone, M.S. Running Productions, always offers professional guidance and organizes a run/walk that provides opportunities for all who wish to participate, while arranging for a beautiful route, insuring public safety and offering an enjoyable experience for all.
We also appreciate the generosity of former Miss Connecticut, Heidi Voight, NBC CT, who was the Master of Ceremonies for the event and Mayor Ben Blake for his welcoming comments and ongoing support.
Our most sincere appreciation goes out to the following event sponsors: Bob's of Milford for their lead car sponsorship, Duchess Restaurant, ARISTA, Mary Taylor Memorial Church, ACAMS/CT Chapter, Standish Construction LLC, James P. Nemergut, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company; The Cone Zone, Jim Dorney, UBS Financial Services, Arnold Peck's Commercial World, Essex Financial Services, R.M. Skinner Enterprises and Parry Real Estate Services, LLC. Our thanks also to those who donated food and professional services: Rainbow Gardens, Subway (1River Street), Scratch Bakery, Shop-Rite, Devine's Bagels & Café, and the Elwoods who always provide an extra dose of fun with their music. Again, thanks to all who participated in the run and those who walked for your support of the Beth-El Center in our efforts to respond to those in need in our community.
