No Freeze Shelter

The Beth-El Center provides warmth, food and shelter for those in need each night when the temperature drops below 32 degrees during the winter months.  This is a crucial support and is seen literally as a life saving program in the community.

Our Winter shelter program is open to individuals and families experiencing unsheltered homelessness during winter months from 9pm to 7am with extended hours during severe cold weather as directed by the State of CT.

Cots, blankets, showers with toiletries and towels are provided/ as well as access to case management services through our Outreach and Engagement services. This program does not turn anyone away and at times will transition into a warming center model to allow for more capacity.

We offer access to a public shower on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday from 1:00pm -3:00pm. Sign up is required during soup kitchen service.
